Demin A.N., Sedykh A.B. P.6-16
Key words: PSYCHOMETRICS, CAREER IDENTITY, PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY, DEVELOPMENT BARRIERS, NEED FOR INFORMATION
Abstract: The results of adjusting My Vocational Situation technique by J. Holland, D. Daiger, and P. Power in Russia are presented. The technique includes Professional Identity, Development Barriers, and Need for Information scales. All the three scales adjusted were offered to small respondent groups with the following discussions for more accurate definition of the items. The inner consistency of the scales were checked at samples of n=208 (the students of schools of higher learning at 2nd, 3rd, 4th years of bachelor's and specialist's courses). Cronbach's ά indices are enough high (0,758‑0,857) and prove inner reliability of all the three scales. They are found comparable with the indices calculated for other foreign versions, namely for the Spanish, Portuguese, and Latvian ones, etc. Re-test reliability of the scales is determined with the sample of n=44. The results obtained prove high stability of the parameters diagnosed. The verification of construct validity is performed on the base of students and the employed (n=260). Several techniques are used for the validation. The analysis demonstrated close correlations between the indices of "My Vocational Situation" on one hand, and with the indices of other techniques on another. The results obtained give the grounds for using My Vocational Situation technique in researches of career identity in Russian selections.

Peculiar features of modern higher education didactics are considered to be determined by classical science paradigm: principal disciplinary differentiation, accent on structural characteristics of phenomena and their reciprocal influence but not on their algorithmic constituent and spatial temporal determinants, etc. The role of not only internal but also external contexts is shown in reforming modern higher education. The author's approach is grounded to internal and external contextuality of higher education as a factor for decreasing risks of establishing students' professionalism and professional identity.
